| This case study outlines the results from a compliance assessment conducted in five districts in Karachi, Pakistan in 2024 by the University of Karachi and the Provincial Tobacco Control Cell, Sindh. The assessment measures compliance against five key smoke-free indicators: 1) presence of no-smoking signage; 2) presence of active smoking (observed); 3) presence of cigarette litter; 4) presence of Designated Smoking Areas; and 5) presence of ashtrays. A total of 1,492 venues were observed across all five districts. |
